Introducing the Speeder: a lightweight aluminium performance hybrid complemented by a full carbon tapered fork, Shimano 3 x 8 drivetrain, and Shimano hydraulic disc brakes.
The Speeder embodies agility and speed reminiscent of road bikes yet with a focus on comfort. Its sporty frame geometry offers a more upright riding position than traditional road bikes equipped with drop bars, providing riders with road bike efficiency without sacrificing comfort. Merida uses the same triple-butted 6066 series aluminium in their road bikes, expertly hydroformed to fine-tune the frame for a responsive and comfortable ride.
Enhancing precision steering and ride smoothness, including a full carbon fork with a tapered steerer, is a standout feature. The upright position, paired with flat bars and powerful hydraulic disc brakes, ensures optimal control and improved visibility while navigating through traffic during commutes. Additionally, the frame's versatility allows for the accommodation of wider tyres up to 35mm or 32mm with mudguards, enhancing its adaptability to various riding conditions.
