The Reaction Hybrid Race FE is packed full of practical details. There's the mudguards, sturdy luggage carrier, neat lighting set and stable kickstand, for a start. A remote dropper seatpost, so you can tackle more challenging trails more easily, and variable bar-width lock-on grips. Then we added 4-piston Shimano XT hydraulic disc brakes and grippy Schwalbe 2.6in tyres, for safe stopping in any weather. An easily adjustable Fox 34 AWL air-sprung suspension fork with 120mm travel (100mm on the smallest frame sizes and Easy Entry frame options), for more comfort and control. And Shimano's wide-ranging XT 1x12 gears, to help make even the most challenging route easier. We sweated the detail, so you can just enjoy the ride.

With the 800Wh PowerTube battery and Bosch CX drive neatly incorporated into the elegant frame, it's also PowerMore-ready – making it easy to add up to 250Wh of extra battery capacity. The integrated seat clamp and cable routing complement the clean aesthetic, and the chain guide keeps everything where it should be. Plus, there are sizes to cater for most riders. We've thought of everything, so you can just ride.
