Handlebar Types & Rider Height Guide

Brompton handlebar types determine riding posture, comfort, and visibility.

Motor System & Range

• Rear-hub motor in e-Motiq
• The battery is 300 Wh (36V)
• Range: 20–45 miles per charge
• Assist: Smart pedal-assist with multiple levels

Gear Systems

4-Speed (Most Versatile)

• Best for mixed terrain, commuting
• Good hill climbing
• Good cruising speed
• Still lightweight

M Handlebar — “Mid” (Most Popular)

• Riding Position: Upright + comfortable
• Best For: Daily commuting, mixed city riding
• Recommended Rider Height: 165–180 cm

H Handlebar — “High” (Tall / Most Upright)

• Riding Position: Very upright
• Best For: Tall riders or anyone with back/neck sensitivity
• Recommended Rider Height: 175–190+ cm

Seatpost Options

1. Standard Seatpost
   • Rider Height: Up to 175 cm
   • Lightest option
   • Most compact fold (seatpost does not protrude)
   • Good for travel & smaller riders
2. Extended Seatpost (+60 mm)
   • Rider Height: 175–185 cm
   • Allows full leg extension for taller riders
   • Slightly taller when folded
   • Balanced performance & portability
3. Telescopic Seatpost
   • Rider Height: 185–205 cm
   • Best for very tall riders
   • Compresses low for compact folding
   • Heavier but widest adjustment range

Battery

• Detachable 300 Wh (36V) battery with LED readout.
• You can remove the battery for charging, reducing risk of theft, and making carrying easier.
